Detroit Shelter Dogs Show Love to City’s “Big Cats” with Detroit Playoff Pups Promotion

The Detroit Lions are making history and the adoptable dogs in the Detroit city shelter are ALL about it! These Detroit shelter dogs love big cats and are ready to be your new playoff-watching buddy. That’s why between January 15 and February 6, Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control is hosting the Detroit Playoff Pups Promotion of a Lifetime.
Each week leading up to the Super Bowl, the adoptable shelter dogs in the city shelter will be doing something special - from touting their favorite players, to announcing the starting line up of adoptable Detroit DAWGS, sharing their favorite tailgate dishes, hanging out with Roary and more!
And - everyone who adopts or fosters a Detroit shelter dog from Detroit Animal Care and Control between now and the Super Bowl will be entered to win a $500 Pet Supplies Plus Gift Card and a super swag bag full of Detroit Lions pet apparel and gear.
All dogs adopted from DACC are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Each dog goes home with a new leash, collar, harness and one-month supply of flea and tick and heartworm prevention. There are options to adopt, foster, foster-to-adopt, and even take a dog on a slumber party or a Detroit Dogventure.
Check out this schedule of special events and get ready to draft your new playoff pup from Detroit Animal Care and Control! The shelter is open daily for adoptions and fostering from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 1431 E. Ferry in Detroit.

Monday, February 7 - Drawing for $500 Pet Supplies Plus gift card winner
