Dear Beau,

I’ve been hearing some scary stories about dogs getting lost and not finding their way back home. I definitely don’t want that to happen to me. I love my humans and my snuggly bed and my squeaky toys. What can I do to help make sure I stay safe and never get lost?

My hoomans have been talking a lot about something called "Heartworm Awareness Month" and telling me how lucky I am that they are able to give me those special meaty treats each month so that I don't get sick. Beau, I have so many questions!

My humans keep whispering about this thing called "spaying" or "neutering." Now, I'm not exactly sure what that entails, but it sounds like they're planning some sort of grand adventure without me. Should I be worried? Will I miss out on all the fun if I go through with it?
